Located in Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho it is home to a large variety of wildlife including grizzly bears, wolves, bison, and elk. Ranger-Led Programs

Join a ranger for a short easy hike or a more arduous adventure hike. Take a ranger-led tour through Yellowstone’s history or one of its unique geyser basins. Learn about Yellowstone at an evening program. Take your kids to a program for children or help them become a Junior Ranger. During the winter, take a snowshoe hike or view wildlife with a ranger.

Climate

Yellowstone's climate is one of cold winters and moderate summers. Most of the park is above 7,500 feet and the weather is unpredictable. Be prepared for changing temperatures, storms and emergencies.
